Humanistic Integrative Counselling with Naomi Selwyn
Integrative Counselling; Seeking counselling can feel like a big decision which may be daunting. However, once you have started the process, counselling gives you time to think, reflect and will enable you to process difficulties you have been facing.
Many people experience complications in the present that have roots in their past. Together we can discover repeating patterns that are causing you difficulties and preventing you from moving forwards. These realisations can be explored, enabling positive change. I combine different therapeutic techniques and approaches according to the client’s needs and offer long and short-term therapy.
I’m a qualified and experienced Counsellor and a registered member of the BACP with ten years of clinical practice experience. My main theoretical approach to counselling is Humanistic Integrative which means I adapt my practice according to the individual’s needs, but tend to focus on Person Centred, CBT and Psychodynamic approaches.
I endeavour to empower clients to make sense of their situation, to see things more clearly and to find their own solutions. I encourage them to view me not as an expert who will offer them advice, but as an ally with whom they can work to dissolve stuckness and achieve greater personal fulfilment.
I have worked with clients on a short-term and long-term basis. Together we can look at what best suits your needs.
